This seminar includes a trip to Washington, D.C. Students address the themes of justice, diversity, and human relationships within the context of power in civic and government structures and organizations. It also challenges students to develop a compelling personal vision that will engage others by offering meaning, dignity, and purpose. Leaders possess qualities that support a hardy persistence in the face of adversity. This course will emphasize the resilience necessary for successful adaptation and transformation despite risk and adversity.
